چکیده

High-flow oxygen therapy provides adequate to those patients who suffer from pulmonary disorders due the COVID-19 virus. The purpose of this research is develop an device that produces high-flow and a humidified supply suffering Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) caused by COVID-19. development High-Flow Oxygen Therapy (HFOT) using cannulation much-needed solution fill gap in availability ventilators resource-limited settings like Pakistan. HFOT has system offers with help blender capable producing balanced mix air while keeping fraction inspired (FiO2) at desired level. A Proportional, Integral, Derivative (PID) valve used control flow mixed gas as per requirement. then passed through humidifier warms, humidifies, purifies respiratory gas. rate designed produce up 60 Liters Per Minute (LPM) ± 0.5 variations proper humidity. prototype tested for rate, concentration, pressure professional calibrators artificial lungs. test results show significant achievements delivering humid gases high rates. ness together appropriate humidification, warming, concentration oxygen.

High flow oxygen therapy for pneumatosis coli.

Symptomatic and radiological resolution of pneumatosis coli was achieved by intermittent high flow oxygen therapy in five patients. In each case the extent of the disease was defined by colonoscopy and contrast radiography before treatment. Despite the confirmation of pneumocyst resolution, recurrence of colonic gas cysts was noted in two patients at six months and one year after treatment. Bac...

Heated and humidified high-flow oxygen therapy reduces discomfort during hypoxemic respiratory failure.

BACKGROUND Non-intubated critically ill patients are often treated by high-flow oxygen for acute respiratory failure. There is no current recommendation for humidification of oxygen devices. METHODS We conducted a prospective randomized trial with a final crossover period to compare nasal airway caliber and respiratory comfort in patients with acute hypoxemic respiratory failure receiving eit...

Comparison of Mask Oxygen Therapy and High-Flow Oxygen Therapy after Cardiopulmonary Bypass in Obese Patients

Background To clarify the efficiency of mask O2 and high-flow O2 (HFO) treatments following cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in obese patients. Methods During follow-up, oxygenization parameters including arterial pressure of oxygen (PaO2), peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO2), and arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2) and physical examination parameters including respiratory rate, h...

High Flow Nasal Oxygen Therapy: From Physiology to Clinic

INTRODUCTION Oxygen support therapy should be given to the patients with acute hypoxic respiratory insufficiency in order to provide oxygenation of the tissues until the underlying pathology improves. The inspiratory flow rate requirement of patients with respiratory insufficiency varies between 30 and 120 L/min. Low flow and high flow conventional oxygen support systems produce a maximum flow ...
